Driftless Area Trout Fishing
The Driftless area is defined as, “a lack of glacial drift, the deposits of silt, gravel, and rock that retreating glaciers leave behind. It’s geography is characterized by its steep, rugged landscape, and by the largest concentration of cold water streams in the world.”
The area includes parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. There is an incredible amount of a trout fishing to be had on many of the streams. Expect to learn a great deal about how to target brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout using a variety of techniques. This trip can be tailored for beginner and advanced anglers. Fly casting instruction is included.
Most of our walk/wade trips will be on trout streams about an hour drive just east of Minneapolis, MN. If you request a different area we can accommodate.
