Upper Mississippi River Fishing Report July 2026

The Mississippi River remains to be low and clear as we continue to roll into another low water season. Fishing however, has been quite productive. There have been great sight fishing opportunities on some of the flat gravel areas, large streamers have also been producing some nice smallmouth bass in the faster moving riffles and rapids. There is only a couple dates left for guided fly fishing trips the end of July, and plenty of availability for August.
